Use of "Should"

We can use “should” at the beginning of a sentence when the action in the If-clause is unlikely to happen. We omit the if of the If-clause and put “should” first.

Should can also go at the beginning of the sentence. In this case, if is dropped.
For example: Should it rain, there will be no picnic today.
