The Beyond Burger™ (素漢堡品牌) packs 20 g of
plant-based protein (植物蛋白) and has no genetic
modified organisms (非基因改造生物GMOs), soy (大豆) or gluten 麩質 (a tenacious 緊粘不放的elastic protein
substance especially of wheat flour that gives cohesiveness to dough生麵團).

Although
phytoestrogens (一種植物雌激素) are
chemically similar to estrogen and behave like the hormone (荷爾蒙) in some respects, they are far weaker. Men don't need to
worry about feminizing (女性化) effects from
eating soy-based foods.

…To
identify possible effects of isoflavones (異黃酮) on male fertility (生育能力), we evaluated reproductive parameters (independent
variables) in rats receiving dietary exposure to a characterized mixture of
soy-derived isoflavones. Beginning at 10 weeks of age, rats received chronic dietary
exposure to the soy isoflavone mixture (200 or 2000 mg/kg diet) for a minimum
of 12 months. Controls received unsupplemented chow diet only for the same
period...Absolute and relative weights of the testis (睪丸) and epididymis (副睪) in groups
receiving high or low doses of isoflavones were comparable to those of
controls, and histopathologic (組織病理的) evaluations
demonstrated that testicular morphology (形態) was similar in all study groups. Isoflavone exposure had no
significant effects on spermatid (精子細胞) count, sperm
production, or sperm morphology in any group...

Gluten
is a protein found in wheat, rye (黑麥), and barley (大麥). It is found mainly in foods but may also be in other
products like medicines, vitamins, and supplements. People with gluten
sensitivity have problems with gluten. It is different from celiac (小腸) disease, an immune disease in which people
can't eat gluten because it will damage their small intestine.
