公司不斷鼓勵員工將圖書和非書籍產品 (下稱非書) 一同陳列，
結合一起作為主題陳列，以收協同效應，藉此推高生意額。
表面上很合情理，但經細心思考後，愚有以下己見。
一心進店買書的客人會否買相關非書？
例如顧客買一本關於截拳道的書會否順道買一條李小龍項鍊？
一心入舖買非書的人會否買相關書籍？
例如買奶茶沖劑的遊客會否買一本關於香港奶茶文化的中文書籍？
本人認為成效存疑，我們要進一步了解背後的原因。
賣書的營利很有限，三中商出版書籍質素自知，
街貨 (其他香港出版社) 又日漸式微。
中小教科書生意額大，但是利潤低。
大學教科書生意連年下滑，大學生多依靠背老師筆記應付考試，
網上又充斥全書 PDF，客人主要餘下法律系學生和碩士生。
事實上，非書入貨價格低，缺乏競爭下利潤很高。
部分上層，甚至中聯辦，會認為書局一定要賣書為主。
他們不會將書店變成文具店，只會對員工說書籍要和非書一同陳列。
他們不會將書店變成文具店，只會推展文化創意產業。
然而，所謂文化創意產業是賣紀念品、精品多於書籍。
商務印書館旗下，歷史博物館和戲曲中心的 Passage 文化禮品店便是一例。
Passage 會否再擴展，將在哪兒招標，身為員工不便再多說。
